Requirement
The requirement was to design a service web app for industries in any sector to centralize the electricity procurement from different sources to meet business objectives, but with a focus on reducing the environmental impact.
Challenges
The main challenge of the project was, in addition to the complexity of specialized electrical engineering language, to align the ideas and requirements of engineers with basic usability concepts.
To achieve this, we listed the actions to be performed that, together with their variations, affect certain numbers of an organization; then we converted these actions into simplified workflows in a 3-phase tool: 1. selection of business objectives and needs, 2. free or predefined assisted configurations, and 3. real-time data monitoring for real-time adjustments.
Results
The visuals shown demonstrate:
Input loading such as energy demand, business objective to be met, and assigned budget, among others. The preconfiguration option calculates an ideal configuration that can then be modified.
Configurator for free selection and assignment of types of energy sources: capsules of energy source types are dragged to the available slots.
Real-time data monitoring shows the performance of the set configuration and AI-assisted suggestions.
